Need Help to identify 61 vette
I am looking at a 61. I am trying to see if the original block and intake is on the car. Need some help.
Block # FO525cQ
VIN # 10867s110125
Intake Number - gm 3844459
Also what is a fair price for a 61 survivor. Needs restored, but is all there.
Thanks!
Don

If it is a true numbers' matching survivor, the last six numbers of the VIN (110125) should also be stamped on the stamp pad in front of the FO525CQ which proves it is the original engine it left the factory with and not a replacement block.

Thanks for the info! I will try and get more info. I may be going to look at the car next weekend. I have to make an 8hr trip to see it. It may be worth it though. I can pick the car up for $25,000. It has been driven once a month by a guys father since his sons death in 74. The fuel pump went out 4 years ago and has not been driven since. Car has 86,000 original miles. Hondurous red with faun interior. Hard top with it.

I'd recommend you get someone local who knows C1s to meet you there to thouroughly look it over. Check with the local NCRS chapter there so you not only get someone knowledgable but who won't try to steal the car out from under you.
That is a super price if condition is decent and everything checks out and there is no rust on the frame.
