Default Steering wheel Mounting screws

I have some stripped out screws in my steering wheel hub. Does anyone know what size and pitch screws mount the steering wheel for a 67 vett. I am going to install heli coils once I get the right size. Thanks Don

I don't know the size off hand. Take one to your Flaps and they can match it to the correct helicoil.

That's an odd pitch size. Thanks for the info.

Some one ran 10-32's into my hub, so now I don't want to re-tap to 10-24...losing to much material.

Haven't checked price or availability, but wouldn't a new hub be easier?

Dr Rebuild does have hubs but I didn't see a price listed.
But his 53'-62' hubs are $130.

Offhand, I'd say you have darn little room for a Helicoil on the edge of the hub. Better bet would be to drill & tap the bad holes 1/8"-3/16" deeper if you have the room.

#10-24 tpi an odd size? Not around here.

On my hub the flat head phillips screws were always coming loose. Solved that problem with hex socket flat screws.

It's only one screw for now so I am going to install a helicoil. I think there is plenty of meat for a coil. I will check with Ace hardware for the SS screws Thanks. Don
