Default how to polished with black insert script valve covers?

Anyone out here done this or have any pictures of what they look like finished? Also if so, please explain how you get the end result.

I have regular script corvette GM repo valve covers. I want to have the insides of the fins and around the word black and the rest of the covers polished to shine like chrome. Don't know if this makes any sense though.

Any help would be great. Thanks...

Polish the covers, mask off the major part, spray the fin and name area, wipe paint off the fin and name top with lacquer thinner before it is completely dry.
