Whats a 66 Hazard Switch look like?
Hi,
I am thinking about adding the traffic hazard lights option to my 66 for safety reasons and I have a few questions.
I think the switch mounted on the bracket above above the parkbrake. Is that correct? I can probably find a suitable switch, however what did the **** look like?
Did it have a light mounted in the switch? Any help would be greatly appreciated. A photo would help as I am in Perth Australia?
Thanks very much for your help,
Gary

Here you go:
The red plastic **** unscrews. It is hollow and you will see a light bulb when you screw it off. Sorry for the crappy picture.

The back of the switch is attached to a fairly elaborate wiring harness. Be sure you get that along with the switch. I just installed a new dash harness in my '66 (which doesn't come with the hazzard light harness) and was glad i had taken pictures before removing the old one.
Good luck, Ralph.

Call me but sometimes after a drive at night I'll park the car in the driveway, with the top down and engine off, and turn on the hazard lights. I tell my wife, "I'm just checking to make sure everything still works".
A really option.
