Default Carpet install tips?

I am installing the back quarter carpet pieces:

- there are alot of contours
- the carpet is a bit stiff (it's new)

Suggestions:

Steamer?
Pounding with a rubber hammer?
Put in the clothes dryer first to soften it?

The warmer the better. I put mine in the hot sun before I set it in. But summer is a while away so heat gun or dryer might help some.
Maybe some steam or heat gun work after its set in place to help it conform.
Good luck!

Doesn't help that the weather here in Ohio is snow, cold and wind. It really stinks.

Chris,
I just did mine. Warming is a big help. There is a glitch in the drivers side that is common, a wrinkle in the vinyl by the gas pedal. What mfg did you get? Call me if you have questions.

Bought mine through Wilcox - box that it came in was the place that makes most of them. I believe it was "Auto Custom Carpets."
