Default Tremec 5 speed install question

I am installing a Tremec 5 speed to replace the 4 speed Muncie in my 66coupe with a 327. I could use some help/info:
How centered in the tunnel is/was the tailend of the Muncie, I didn't note this before I took out the old transmission.
For those who have installed a Tremec, how centered in the tunnel is the tailend of the Tremec.
My Tremec seems to be approx 1 inch off center to the passenger side.
Any info would be appreciated.

It is offset just like the muncie. The motor and tranny are offset towards the passenger side on the vette. Dave

If the Tremec shifter housing has been modified for the Corvette installation, the shifter will be centered in the existing hole in the floor pan with the transmission in the offset Corvette position.

It looks like you could use a smaller 1310 slip yolk. Is the yolk clipping the tunnel?

Jim,
Is this in reference to my pic? That is the stock yoke that I recieved from KE but I have since changed to a 80's Lincoln yoke that is a take apart yoke so that I do not have to press the u-joint caps in or out just to remove the drive shaft. I don't think that I have a pic loaded to my photo bucket account to show it though. Dave

Here is a picture of my new Keisler TKO-600 5-speed in my 67 Coupe. It is slightly offset to the passenger side. The shifter is centered it the console opening.

Here's another photo of the new Keisler take-apart front yoke.

The Keisler Tremec 5-speed sits in my '65 as JohnZ describes. It's all a very tight fit, but it works well.
