C1 Onix Black
I am looking at getting the correct color for my Onix Black '56. The documentation I have specifies Dupont paint #44 as the right color for this car.
My local Dupont rep. tells me this paint or mix is no longer available and I will have to settle for something different, but I would like to stick to the original color.
Has anybody have experience with this problem?
Thanks

Re: C1 Onix Black (Pierre)
I used PPG concept on my '60 and the guy who painted it had the formula to mix the color. I would imagine that there is instruction to get your color like there was for my Roman Red car.

I may be wrong about this, but I think PPG (formerly Ditzler) is the brand that is the most into the old formulas. I'd check with a PPG dealer. If you get stuck, I can give the phone number for my paint dealer in California. They definitely have the old charts and might be able to help you out.

Of course I am a little bias being from Pittsburgh. PPG=Pittsburgh Plate Glass. Great paint though. I recommend the Concept line.
