AC cars used the "dual snorkel" air cleaner with chrome plated lid. The air conditioned air cleaner is unique as it has two locating areas that align with the carb to turn the base slightly to the right about 5 degrees.

The correct air cleaner for the '63 with AC was a dual snorkel with the vent tube in front and two sections inside the hole to position the air cleaner slightly to the side to have the snorkels clear the belts and hoses.
There is some question as to how many were really equipped that way. It may be the early ones didn't get them, or that they ran out and late ones didn't. There doesn't seem to be good data on real original unchanged cars today.
The '64 and '65 AC air cleaners are different, in they have the rear vent tube.
