Carter 3269S Identification
I have owned a Carter 3269s carburetor for many years. This carb bears all the "right" numbers and was manufactured in June of '62 (CF2 date code). It was on a Power Glide Corvette which I owned for many years and the transmission-to-carb linkage was connected to a proper throttle shaft arm. I have identified the throttle shaft arm as the type used on 3720s (and possibly 3721s) carbs. My question: is it possible this 3269s carb was built (near the end of production run) with the 3721s throttle shaft or was this carb rebuilt by a previous owner to accommodate the power glide connection?

It's not supposed to happen that 3720 throttle shafts get put on 3269 carbs. Supposed to be 2 different part numbers. But I guess anything's possible. Why do you care? Are you going to try to convince an NCRS judge that the carb is correct? Won't happen.
The 3310 carb was used on PG equipped '62s.
There's a guy who sells on EBay a throttle shaft that he says is unique to the 3269 and 3310. Don't know if he's correct. I didn't know that the throttle shafts were different on MT and PG cars.
I do know that the 3269 contained a unique air horn. The air horn on a 3269 has a smaller air filter base locator peg than the other 62-65 Corvette AFBs. That's how you can tell a real 3269 from a restamp.

Thanks Chris.
I have no intention of presenting my 3269s carb to an NCRS judge; however, I do intend to post it on ebay and I want to describe it as accurately as possible.
