Default [Videos] Project L89 - Finally on the road!!!

Well, I finally got around to getting my 67' out on the road this past weekend and got a couple of videos to share. I had the 4 wheel alignment done last weekend, and had some time Saturday to finally drive her around some and put some miles on her.

I have to admit, nothing beats that first run thru the gears after you've turned wrenches on a car for so long. I was taking it easy on it, so nothing over 3k on the tach.

On with the videos...

Another run thru the gears...

Final one for now...

NOW THAT'S WHAT I'M TALKING ABOUT!!!

Rob, I know that you are excited to finally to be able to drive it again. I can't wait to see you out on the road. You don't need no stinkin paint.. You have a Big Block that's all that matters...

Ah, the sweet sound of big-block muscle. Are you running headers?

Dave, I know man. I am getting the jitters just thinking about her being done now.

Paul, you should have seen the look on a local police officer that drove by and was staring at it. I couldn't tell if he was soaking up the sight of the 67' or wondering why I didn't have a hood on the car.

No headers. Stock rams horn manifolds thru larger than stock sidepipes. It sounds really good and agressive. IMHO.

Rob, you are a man of true discipline. How stinkin hard was it not to stomp on the gas ?

I found myself sitting here just watching the vid's and found my right foot pressing forward and mock shifting.

Man I guess I left a bit to soon, dang......cuz ya know I wanted to hear her running. As good as technology is these days there ain't nothing that can capture the true full sound, vibrations, and the smell of BB exhaust, like there is with experiencing it in person. Next time.

Great Job,
David

BJ? Hmmm.... I bet it could pass as a NCRS car. Skull shifter and all.

Nay. I'd rather keep her and beat on her some. She likes it like that. I can already tell.

Ohhh, if you only knew how hard it was.

Next time you swing by, we'll have to take her out for a spin.

Hopefully there will be some more coming soon, and she'll have to flex her muscle some.
