Nabers brothers restoration
#41
I would have no reservations about sending either Jeff or Ken and Gary a car for restoration. Like John, I have seen quite a bit of each shop's work and have no complaints. Having done restorations for many years (no more though) you look for the fine details. Everyone can do the big things, but it is all in the details.

I had a CA friend come all the way to Houston to have his Corvette redone here. At the time I didnt know who the Nabor brothers were or that they were in Houston. He talked about how lucky I was just to live in the same town as the Nabor bros. I didnt have a clue at the time.
Since then I saw they restored the "last Stingray". So between my friend who likes to show his Corvettes and a 600k winning bid at BJ with a NOM Corvette, I figured they were pretty good.
So if I run my anti-ncrs, color and interior change, fender flared, NOM '63 with a '67 stinger front end over to them and have them do some brake work, can I call it a Nabor Brothers restoration?

Nowhere Man, don't believe every thing you read.
We only painted the car on Ebay. I consider Corvette restoration more than a spectator sport . It' s easy to be critical of someone elses' work while sitting behind you computer. I informed the lister of the car on Ebay that we didn't restore the car and the listers daughter said she would have her dad call me. They never did.A friend of mine did the chassis and under hood portion of the car to the level that was requested by the owner of the car.The gentleman who did this work does very craftsmanlike work. The owner of the car was pleased with the work performed not knowing that it would be judged at a later date on the internet by someone of unknown qualifications. What was done to another person's car is none of your business. It was done to the level he wanted it because he was going to drive it. The car is a 300 horsepower car. It was listed as a 350 on Ebay.Don't believe everything you read on Ebay.
