Default Thinking about getting Torque Thrust wheels, yes, no?

Hi guys, Im not sure if it would be too much silver / chrome looking with a silver car?
I really like the way they look on darker colors.

The best, Pete

A friend has a silver C6 that had polished wheels on it. He wanted a little more flash so he put chrome Z06 wheels on his car and it looks better (I think)...

As you can tell...I like the Torque Thrust...

But...Your car looks great as it is. Good luck with your decision.

Default Get Em!

I've got TT 2's on my car & love em.

One of the best I've ever seen was a car on ebay that was silver with TT's with the grey center spokes. Try this link and see if it will get you there.... probably best to copy & paste.

I agree with CWerner. TT D's with grey spokes look good on lighter color (and darker, too, now that I think about it!) cars.

Either way, your car is a beauty--with current wheels or polished or grey Torq Thrusts!

Whatever your decision, if you go for new wheels, be sure to post some pics so we can see how they look on your Vette.

I like my TT's, but would go with chrome, they are constant upkeep. As for too much brightwork; I don't think so. I love em on a silver mid-year. I wish my coupe was silver, wanna trade?

Pete I think your car looks perfect, I wonder why?

That having been said, I really like SilverSlashStreak's silver 63 with chrome wheels. Maybe he'll post here...

I think your car looks great as it is, but I also like the TT wheels. If I didn't have KOs on my '65, I'd get the TTs. My favorites have the gray spokes with a machined lip.

If I didn't have KO's on my '64 silver coupe, I too would get a set of TTs. I also like the gray spokes with the machined lip, but I would add a set of center spinners. Good Luck with your decision.

Torq Thrust D wheels are my personal favorite for any midyear, and I think you just can't go wrong with them. I recently bought a set of 15X7 TTD clones for my 67. They are made by PS Engineering in L.A. and I think they are the only real duplicates of the 1960's wheel. I compared them to a set of original TTD's at a friend's shop and the spokes are 100% identical, while the barrels are 95% the same. The wheels that American Racing sells these days look only generally similar. Here are mine mounted with 205-50-15 Yokohama A043 autocross tires. My wheels have 4 inches of backspacing. PS Engineering will powder coat the spokes, for those who want a darker color there.

Here is the link to my wheels before I had them mounted with tires.

your car looks great with knock-off wheels. I originally had repro bolt-on aluminum wheels and changed to American Racing TTD's.

I prefer this look.

I think your car looks awsome. But if you need someone
to take your old rims I'd be more than happy to take
them off your hands.

Was it Yogi Berra who said, "Nobody's buying Torque Thrusts anymore because they're too popular."?
