my fathers 57
i got a new scanner and i thought i would share a few pics from the family archives. sorry but they aren't in the correct order. the red vette is dads car the day he bought it in 62. the photo with the gasser vette actually has two 57s in it. the gasser was dads but is long gone, the pile of junk to left of the gasser is the red car, in 69. the photo with the the kids leaning on a 57 shows my brother and me and the red again, in 1971. the black 57 is, again, the red car. the camaro and the mustang were my mine and my brothers highschool cars. the blower motor was in dads (now) black car in the early 90's. the photo of the black car towing my 58 shasta is for real! we towed that thing to U.S. nationals for years. now the white 57 is my uncles car. the little guy is me, 1971. by the way, the wheels on the white car are now on my 60!

Great pictures and great memories. I wish I had some from years ago. In those times of no digital cameras etc, too many times pictures weren't taken as often as now. I had a 68 L88 that I bought after Nam and the only picture I have of it ( a print which I can't find) is one of my two nieces in front of it at 3 and 4 years old. Thanks for sharing.

I have no photos of my red 56 when I owned it from 1960-64; the red 57 is as close a match as I ever have seen, ie solid red. My wife has seen 7 of my 9 corvettes, but not the 56 and a white SWC I had before I met her. Now, at least she will know what the 56 looked like. Thanks for the post.
