[VIDEO] Mecum Auction Results: 1963 Corvette Z06 Tanker
I don't get HD Theater so I had a friend TIVO the Mecum auction that was on last Saturday night. I got the DVD from him this morning and I just posted on my Corvette Blog the video of the 1963 Corvette Z06 Coupe Tanker which sold for $222,500.

There were a couple of more interesting Corvettes from the night including a couple of C1s with RPO 687 that I might post as well.

I don't do auctions, I don't like auctions because I can't stand that crap they're saying. Why can't they just talk in plain English instead of talking in tongues so that people can understand what they're saying (or attempting to say)????????????????????????
I TRIED to look at that video, but I couldn't understand a word he said, so I closed it.

I would never........... no wait - NEVER do anything with Mecum.
Anyone who lays all over the cars in their short sleeve sweaty shirt and takes away peoples personal space by crowding them into a corner and putting their arms around them while forcing them (the seller) to do things he may not want to should not be running an auction.
Sorry, but the guy just creeps me out. That is all

I watched the tanker go over the block.
It's the auction hype. Same auction "patter" you hear at local auctions all over the country. You're not supposed to understand it.
