Default Anyone ever seen this C1 advertisement?

On the back side edge the magazine and month are indentified as Esquire and February. No year is printed, but obviously this issue of Esquire is between 1952 and 1954.

Anyone familiar with this ad?

Never saw it, but I am guessing 52, since the side trim doesn't match the 1953 production cars.

Looks like the Motorama show car (January 53), for which grand unveiling I don't think there was any "sneak peek", so I'm guessing early 53, prior to when the production cars came out.

When I had my 54 vette I had a copy of that and also one of Dinah Shore in a ad and one of the Sylvania Electric Company giving away a 54 Vette in a contest. I let it all go when I sold the car. Should have kept it.

Reminds me of the "He (She) Drives a Duesenberg" ads in the 1930's. Except they just showed the yacht, mansion, horse stables, etc., never the car.

Yes, it is half of a double page ad. Find it on: http://www.c1registry.com/index.php?...53&job=ShowAds to be more specific at: http://www.c1registry.com/index.php?...d=110&uid=1439

Date of the ad, not date of the car, although early 53 sounds more likely.

Thanks, that is a much better photo of the ad. I have the entire ad, not just half.
