Have not heard of any one "biting". From a video that Crane sent out a few years ago, it looked like a piece of crap (at best!). And Crane has a very poor rep.
As they say, "Run Forest, RUN!".

i have that 'video' and the Crane system uses the C2 power ram cylinder system, which is a less than desirable power steering setup.
and on top of all that, it is VERY expensive, you could change the whole frontend to a rack & pinion IFS for what they are asking for their system.

Crazy David's system is "cobbled", not "engineered"; can't imagine putting that mess on my car.

Thank you so much for verifying my thoughts on this. It is not for my car but a friends. I did install an entire TCI front end on my 62 for what this product cost. I also tried to talk to "Crazy David" at Crane. He hung up on me. Thanks again much appreciated.

Burning Brakes
You would be way ahead if you put a Jim Meyer front end under your C1, bolts in has rack and pinion and coil over adjustable shocks with big narly disk brakes. Not cheap but you could look at this way, you won't need to plan your stops and you will be able to predict where the car will go in a panic situation. Did I mention the rack is 3 revolutions lock to lock

1961 vette power steering
put on power steering. It works great but requires some dedication
to the project.

An aluminum block engine is a better choice for a C1!!
I run a 215 CID aluminum Buick V8 in my '61.
If it ever blows up (37,000 miles so far) I will put an aluminum small block Chevy in there so my heirs can sell it easier if they want to!

you know the solid axle is based on the 1949 chevy! Excuse the grease! I have been doing a little cleaning lately.
