Default Can Ko's Be Clear Coated?

It sounds crazy but I am ordering a new set of Knock-Offs. If you have ever owned a set you know what its like to keep them clean (even with bleach white, and every other product made). I have discs all the way around and thought this may work? I would just do where the spokes are. Has anyone tried this?
Thanks,,,,

I had a set of repo knock offs for my '64 clear powder coated about 10 years ago, it looked great and helped with keeping them clean. I have developed some opaque white-ish spots on all the wheels, not sure if they can be re coated, but I'm planning on going with some larger bolt-on wheels so not an issue. If you decide to have them coated you might ask the shop if they can be re-coated if they get blemished in the future (or maybe newer techniques/coating formulations won't have this problem).
