Dave,
You remember what this little gem is? It's not a mini, but sure is wild looking. Great pictures. Love the Bugati and the spare spark plugs held in a rack near radiator. The Bugati must have had a fouling problem?

Hope your trip is going well. Still working on Hamilton. Thought Bob Dylan was going to be there, but wrong week.

I'm glad you guys liked the pics, it was a huge open air festival at the local garden. The garden probably covers about 20 acres and is immaculately taken care of.
Dave the little black car was actually an Austin Martin. Need little car with bright blue interior. If I ever by a 66 coupe it will be black with bright blue interior..
Earl, gotta pay the bills mang.. I need to brush up on my German though
Time to go to work...

Great shots! The Bugatti appears to have a Saoutchick body - not many of those left! Interesting how they wound up with six tailpipes on a straight-8
I worked at Opel Engineering in Russelsheim in 1980 (under Fritz Lohr, Opel Chief Engineer), and lived at the Nasser Hauf hotel in Wiesbaden; my first night there was the first day of Oktoberfest, and it only got better.

The car has a sign that was in front of it that says that it was and "Aerolite"? I can post the sign but it was in German...

John I was curious about that too. I then though maybe it's a 4 banger.. I don't think I've ever seen a straight eight though. I did think why do they need all of those extra spark plugs and why is the fuel line resting on the exhaust manifold...

Raytex was nice enough to give us an over view of what the plaque said in front of the car. Thanks
The Bugatti was designed by Jean Bugatti the son of Ettore Bugatti.
He designed it and it was displayed at the Paris and London motorshow in
1935.
It appears the be a prototype that normally after 6 months should have been
demolished.
From this prototype the 1936/38 Typ 57S with a Atlantic called body was
developed with following differences to the Aerolithe.
1. Radiator shape was pointy so flat
2. Hood was lower
3. big windscreen
4. ventilation holes in hood and roof area
5. fuel tank cap on the left side rear
The existence of a second Aerolithe has never been proven.
This a replica build in 2005 based on original Bugatti technics
The chassis was out of a kind of aluminium which was very hard to weld.
A lot of rivets where used instead of welding.
There is no data about the interior documented, they copied an other design
from Jean Bugatti to make the interior.
