Well isn't that just special!!!

When i put my 62 together back in 73 it looks like I took the wrong manifold off the shelf, I geuss I will have to remove the carb to see all of the numbers on that manifold.
The last 5 numbers are 32472 the float is covering the rest of them.

That's a '69 Z/28 intake (casting #3932472); best aluminum high-rise GM ever made.

Solid, How did you manage to put the wrong intake on ?
The 62 intake will only take a Carter AFB carb and if you really have the Z-28 intake on (which sounds like you do seeing that there is a fuel bowl there) it only takes a Holley carb.

You better make sure you have a carb for the 62 intake before you do anything (or you'll have to get a carb adaptor for the Holley)

If you go with a carb adaptor you may not have enough hood clearance and oh yeah - you are going to need a different air cleaner than what you have on the Holley now (or you'll need an adaptor ring too LOL !)

Have fun !!

WELL, you have me questioning the reasons I put the Z-28 manifold on, but thinking back on it when I rebuilt the engine in 73 that I did not like the WCFB and went with a Holley.

With that in mind I guess I can not sell either one as I do not have a WCFB and the car runs great with the Holley, so I guess I am stuck with the Z-28 on the numbers matching car with the wrong manifold !

I do not want to alter the hood for the different carb so I guess you have answered this old problem

Thanks for all the help.
