Default 63 Restomod Update - Interior

The car left the upholstery shop yesterday. Thought I would post some shots of the interior. I'm really excited about the way it turned out and big thanks to Brian and the guys at Premier Upholstery. I think the Stingray leather inserts in the seats is a really cool touch. We lost quite a bit of space in the back in order to hide the amps, crossovers, speakers and subwoofer. Hope its not too many pics...

That's over the top gorgeous !!! WOW ! And I finally found someone that did the same thing as I. Cut the tunnel and put the shifter in the center. Now, I want to know what you are going to do for a boot and console. I was just going to cut a console and put a custom plate in. What are your plans ??

Thanks for the compliments. We cut the center of the console out to the chrome lip, then had it rechromed. The boot will then be epoxied (most likely) to the underside of the console. It should look really good and will post a pic of it when finished. There were some blemishes in the chrome so it is being redone.

Crap like this shoud be banned from the forum. If my wife sees these pics I'm gonna have to redo my interior. Damn!

Nice job, I was thinking about eventually doing my interior, but was planning on staying with original. Now I am going to have to rethink it. The newer seats look great in the coupe, not sure how they would look sitting in a vert though since I am so used to the short backs. The door panels are awesome.

Trick to the C5 seats in a vert is to have the headrests shortened to the height of a stock 67 seat with headrest.

Default C5 Seats

The C4 seats work great. Not only do they look good with the coupe, they fit. I have seen them cut down in a convertible and they looked awesome. Using a Newman Creations frame you lose about an inch and a half on the passenger side of the tunnel for the torque arm. This really limits your seat options since the seat area is quite narrow to begin with.

Darin, as mentioned I think this is really nice. One question I have is where is the audio head unit going? Sounds like you have a neat set up and it will be hidden somewhere (do tell)?

Sorry for any confusion I may have caused. We used C4 sport seats out of a 94. I corrected my previous posts to reflect the accurate information.
