Clutch Fork install??
65' vert...365hp...Muncie....motor and trans out of car.... QUESTION---After installing clutch and bellhousing, does the fork and throwout bearing just sit in the opening of the bellhousing as I slide the tranny in ?? Do I just slide the tranny shaft through the throwout bearing, then clutch, then into the pilot bushing?? Engine and trans going into the car together....ANY HELP IS APPRECIATED..

Make sure you install the throwout bearing correctly on the fork, or you'll get to pull the tranny and do it all over again; the design allows it to be installed wrong.

My clutch fork was installed incorrectly for twenty years and it worked.
It is now installed correctly after replacing my clutch this past spring.
The PDF diagram makes it very clear how it should fit on the throw out bearing.

It will still work, but the ends of the fork will rattle back and forth in the groove in the throwout bearing, and you won't be able to achieve the correct pedal free play at the top end of pedal travel.
