What happened to 56Krash and his 56 Bad Blood drag car. Great project and really enjoyed following his progress of bringing one back to life. I hope he can post an update and fill in the blanks!

Your very lucky the body is in one piece and the paint is in tact. Don't repaint.... it looks great the way it is. A true survivor of hard use and what the early cars have gone through. It needs a solid lifter small block, headers with dumps, and a tunnel ram.

Great car. Leave the paint alone. I like it the way it is.

Just how many spare bodies do you have lying around? I see one in the background. Has your Dad been bringing them home like lost puppies?

Bringing back an old thread. But I happen to see a picture of this car in the latest Rod & Kustom. Pretty cool to see it finished. Though, not that many pictures. Just was showing pictures from a show.

Yeah, or he sold it. I remember his dad was a character. He came over to my father-in-law's place and picked up some parts. It was funny because when he called me he said he would swing by when he was in southern California. Well swing by to me means he would have been in the area. The parts were located in Norcal. Anyways, the guy shows up at my father-in-law about 10 or 11 o'clock at night and decided to take the parts. Plus some frame pieces which needed to get hacked off. I was not in the area at the time to help.

That was my grandfathers corvette yes it's from bakersfield. He bought the car in 1958 for my grandmother. Then later turned it into a door slammer. Had a 426 hemi on alcohol. I'm glad to see it being restored. It it a great piece of my family history. After my grandfather past my grandmother sold the car. It's actually a 57 corvette. My grandfather was known by mickey Anderson. Please keep posting pictures.

The Original Poster of this thread has not been on this forum since June of 2009. I wouldn't get your hopes up on any more pics. (I'd sure like an update myself!!)

I would like to know if it was ever finished or what happened to it?
Here is mine , it sat from 1970 to 4 years ago when I bought and finished it.

Pat,
Thanks, I love my Corvettes and the people I have met through the Corvette hobby.
Rex is a very cool guy and I hope to go down to KY and visit him again in a few weeks. His cars are very incredible for sure.
Maybe get to CA someday.
Take care and drive that beautiful 62 of yours.

Thanks Pat and Bruce for the kind words. The Corvette hobby has allowed me to make many many good and lasting friendships with so many people and you both are on that list.

Bruce, I'm anxious for your next visit and I wish Pat could join us.
Maybe we can get this one out when you come down, weather permitting of course. I don't think those 14 inch wide Mickeys would like a wet road. I've put only 24 miles on it since I got it in July 2015.

Rex

Last spring, I saw a photo of it in a show recently covered either by hot rod deluxe or another magazine. I could read the "Bad Blood" on the side. It was roped off if that gives you some idea of the condition. I bet the OP sold it... His dad was in the process of restoring it so not sure how far his son took it.

I just remember what his dad told me on the phone when he said he was going to swing by and pick up the parts from Pomona up to norcal. Like he was going to the store to get some milk. That night, he made it up there. He torched off what he needed and left in the middle of the night. My father-in-law was impressed with his speed and determination.
