Greetings,
In my continuing quest to identify previous ownership of my '66 Coupe I have found most previous owners were from the good State of Indiana. The one gentleman said that he purchased the car from a GM dealer in Southern Indiana but could remember who or if they were in business today. Does anyone know a direct link or contact number at the Indiana State of Motor Vehicles that can be of help. Do you know if they have a department that can provide previous history on older classics.

Each state has some agency that deals with business licences. Find the agency and see if they have a specific list for automobile dealers. Filter it down to the geographic area and do a process of elimination.
