I'm not into numbers can you post a pic of both sidea and the TC.
There basically all the same inside, out side the tail housing Corvette needs a shifter mount , some have a modulator , convertor Corvette has 35 bolts and so on.

Thanks Katch

Your date codes indicate the parts were cast in last July and early August 1960. Based on the VIN derivative, when was your car built?

Hi Bill, I have a 1960 passenger power glide that I am trying to convert for my 60 vette.I have been told that the outer case is the same except for the tail shaft. I am contemplating on buying a 1961 corvette power glide and transfer the guts into my case. I guess if the only difference between a 60 and a 61 are numbers I could just rebuilt it. Not looking for numbers matching but what it would look like after it left the factory. You said when you bought the car it came with a power glide. Is it in your car or was it an extra tranny and if so is it for sale. Thanks for the numbers , I need to see if any are on my case for curiosity sake.
Thanks Katch

Default Conversion

Sorry 3310Vette... I didn't intend this message to go to you. But would be happy if you did have an opinion on my message. Thanks, Katch

I am not certain if you can convert a passenger car PG to a Vette PG by just replacing the tail shaft, but I know a man in Dallas that can answer your questions and probably get most any PG part you need. He helped me obtain parts and seals for my 1960 Vette PG. If you want his name/phone number, send me a private message.

Hi Copper, Buzz from Texas told me you are very knowledgeable on power glides. Let me ask you this, do I need the 61 power glide in order to convert, or all I need is the tail shaft housing with the planetary gear. Are there parts in the 61 that I need in order to make this work.
Thanks Katch.
