Hey CabSav,
Thanks for feelin' my pain. Oh, the Hills Hoist can just be seen at the right corner of the garage.
Gee, that snow shot brought back memories. Haven't seen snow like that for 30 years!
That horse stable is better and bigger than my house!
Bud.

Thanks Dan! One friend asked if I had stud service and he would bring his corvette over.
Hi Pete and thanks! Little colder now, huh?
Thanks Harps!
Thanks Jeff, but you should have seen the inside before I started. Literally hundreds of hours but worth it.
Thanks again everyone,
Chick

But I sure remember my roots and how we tore things out in chicken barns or anything else that at least had a concrete floor.
Chick
Now who left that C2 out in the snow?

This is the outside of my dads garage:
It was built to house the cars on the ground level, and his other hobby on the second floor, model trains.
The right hand side is kind of the work side, with the lift:
The left side is the show side, with several of the cars parked in the clean area. Large windows and a glass door seperate the two sides:
In the above pic, in the far back corner on the left is the 72 LS-5 that has 1,700 orig miles and on the right is an all original 67 427/390. Both cars retain their original factory paint, interior, etc.... The 72 has done it and received it all, including 2 years at the NCM. The 67, we're hoping to get back to showing it this year. Hopefully Bowtie/Survivor.

Pat, here is some pics of my dads HO train layout upstairs.
The layout is in the shape of a big "U".
Here is The Yard
Here's another shot of The Yard, from the other end
Here's a shot from the opposite side, looking down the other way.
The coal area
Another section with the turn table in the background
The meat packing plant.
And which one of you wrecked the C1?

collection that his wife will only let him set up for his grand-kids at Christmas. He works on it for
months every year, but it pales in comparison to your dad's collection. If you don't mind, I'd like
to download those pics off the thread and e-mail them to my cousin.
And those Vettes keep your post on Topic! I think I see my roadster in front of the grey building.

Harps, your dad's HO train layout is as amazing as his garage! I have a cousin who has a great
collection that his wife will only let him set up for his grand-kids at Christmas. He works on it for
months every year, but it pales in comparison to your dad's collection. If you don't mind, I'd like
to download those pics off the thread and e-mail them to my cousin.

Thanks for the nice comments on my dads train set too. It's funny, he has been collecting trains even before I was born. The cars only started about 13-14 years ago. His train collection is really something special. I grew up running trains on layouts and I remember doing it after school back when I was 7 or 8 years old. The train area is definitely a real dream of his.
Please feel free to share the pics with whomever you would like.

I'm sending those pics to my cousin as quickly as I can download them.
Thanks Harps!
