Default So northerners, what are you doing on your car today?

I'm thinking first coat of paint on the battery tray now that all the prep work is done, then maybe move the driver's door forward in the opening by 1/16".
If I don't feel up to doing the door today, I may pull the Wonderbar and see if I can screw it up even further before accepting the inevitable and sending it out.
How about you?

Paul, tomorrow (Sunday) it's suppose to be close to fifty degrees so, I'm planning on starting my '66 up and cleaning it. I bought a brand new car cover from Zip products this past Christmas so, I'm planning on put it on. I haven't started my car since October. I'll be glad to hear the exhaust through the side pipes again. It's been a long and dreadful winter so far. Trophy Blue.

i took the snow plow off the front of my 66, it was a bear to install but since i rebuilt my posi a few weeks back i was anxious to try it out but there was to much snow, so i thought a resto mod with a plow would have been a novel idea. now that it is getting warmer, i guess if we get anymore white stuff i will resort to shoveling by hand......damn! i really wanted to try it out.......oh well i guess regular burn outs are in order now once the streets dry up.......

I'm also keeping a close watch on some rodent traps in the garage... Don't want those buggers around my C1...

Draining the fluids in the engine and trans. in preparation to pull the engine so I can check the clutch. Then off to a Mid-winter car party for some bench racing and drinks.

Watching the snow slowly melt off the cover, and knowing it's only temporary. I think they should use a blind groundhog!

Putting on a new front brake backing plate. All the brakes have been redone. Want to move the Chevrolet Echidna out, as I need to get the redone upholstery put back in the car. Another trip to the warrens of northern Wisconsin to the resto shop who remade the seat covers for the install.

Nothing on the cars. I did put a charger on the '67 last weekend.

My "car" project is building a heavy duty, 30" deep, 8' long, work bench with 14 drawers on heavy duty slides. Then I'm going to do some re-arranging and organizing!!

Rebuilding a spare distributor. I will swap it out with the one that is in the car in a couple of months when this damn snow is gone. Car is in storage a couple of miles away. But I will go visit it today and dream of cruizing. If only I had a heated garage, winter would go so much faster having the car home to work on.

Trying to get the &^$*@@ air out of my brake lines. Looks like I need to bleed the master cylinder first. Nothing else seems to be working.

Come on spring....

Actually nothing...nothing wrong we them.....

We did have a Carpenter {builds houses} show up yesterday that has a 62 stored in his Dads garage since 1973 and wants it completely refinished. He claims its all there but in pieces and wanted prices. Hes going to pick us up tomorrow and go for a view. I`m not sure hes aware of what hes into. I told him it could be done in stages to soften the costs or I might just offer to take it off of his hands ... ya know, nobody wants NOM 62`s....And I just happen to have a spare 427 and a T 400....

Yes indeed. I can hardly wait for spring.... I hate winter...!!!! Christmas and hockey make it tolerable but I'm a summer kind of guy...!!!!

I don't like the cold, the snow, the ice... I don't skii or snowmobile. I did play hockey but gave it up when I turned 51.... I hate knowing I can't jump behind the wheel of the Vette and take her for a sunny cruise.... I miss the music of that small block reving...!!!!

Stuck the distributor back in and finished cleaning a bunch of parts. Now I'm stuck and can't go any further until I get my headers back from Jet-Hot.

I have the '57 and '61 up on jack stands with the wheels off. I am detailing the wheel well areas. Earlier I flushed the brake systems using the new Motive pressure system. It works great.
