oil fill tube
I was wondering where the oil fill tube gets vented on a 64-365hp, there is a plug at the rear of the manifold, does it vent in the manifold or in the air cleaner, any info would be great, thanks, greg

The fitting on the tube is for the pcv system. a hose goes from there to the drivers side of the carb, where it goes into a 90 degree brass fitting with a metered orifice. The block is vented from the port by the rear of the intake. A tube goes from there to the air filter.

Two of my books show it connects to a brass fitting on the driver side of the Holley carb. I would suspect the plug you refer to is intended for vacuum source for PB is so equipped. Dennis

Another option is to use a '66-'67 oil fill tube - it has a threaded bung for a PCV valve, and a hose goes from the valve to the 3/8" PCV port that most carbs have on the baseplate. What kind of carb do you have? Got a photo?
