Default Redline tires for a 67' Coupe

I'm considering adding redline radials to my 67' Marina Blue coupe. Stock rally wheels. I'm assuming 215/65/15's to avoid any potential "rubbing" issues. (As wide as possible without any modifications).

Looks like I only have 2 choices: Diamond Back and BF Goodrich.
I would appreciate any recommendations or comments before I part with $800.00+
Thanks very much.

I'm very happy with the Diamondback 215-65-15 redline radials I put on my '67. They're actually Yokohama tires that Diamondback modified with the redlines. If you seach this forum there are a few threads that deal with Diamondback v. Coker. The general consensus is that Diamondback is better. When you order ask to speak with Tab and ask for the forum discount; as I remember he gave me 10% off.

Brian,

If you use Diamondback, make sure you understand what tire they are using as a base and what lettering will show on the redline side and the back side of the tire.

I bought a set of Diamondbacks for my 67 coupe. I got the 215/75/15s so as to look as stock as possible. 65s might be too much unless you go 205/65. I do like these tires - made a world of difference.

What kind of tires did you get from Daimondback? I am thinking of ordering 4 tires from them.
Thanks

I put redine Firestones radials from DB on my 66 chevelle two years ago and they very satisfactory. My only issue on radials on C2's is the lack of the tall and skinny look and thread design (which I think is cool) that you cannot get with any radial. If you are not auto crossing your 67, I would use the bias repros. Its a great look. I put a set of goldlines on my 65 about eight years ago and they have up very well.
