Virginia Dealer Recommendation
Thinking of buying a C2 from F and A Corvette in Colonial Beach, Virginia. Anyone done business with them? Good or Bad experience, and why?

Welcome to the forum Nik1. I can't help you with F&A, but have you checked the C2 cars for sale section of the forum. There are some really nice cars for sale there, at what I would consider some very good prices. I went to F&A's site and they certainly have a lot of 65's for sale. Which car are you looking at?

I haven't dealt with them personally but I hear good things about the cars they have sold. I have met two people who have purchased cars from them, one a 57 and the other a midyear. Both people were happy with their cars.

They have been in the business of sell Corvettes in Colonial Beach, Va for 30 years. They have had alot of nice cars over the years. I never held any negative comments about them but you need to ask the questions about the car you are looking at.

My previous owner purchased the car thru F & A, I have spoken with them and they were good to speak with. Good Luck.

Are you sure about this??? When you go to register it in your name don't they ask how much you paid for it so that they can arrive at a tax amount to pay the state. In MN you are only absolved of taxes on the trade in amount. Anything over that you have to pay taxes on.

In Texas, the only tax you don't explicitly pay when buying Privately is a Gas Guzzler tax.

Sales Tax on used cars in Georgia??
Q.Sales Tax on used cars in Georgia?? Do you have to pay sales tax on a used car you buy from a person in Georgia? Someone told me there is no tax because it is paid at the dealer by original buyer, is this true? I know it wasn't like that in FL. Thanks for your help. Will call DMV tomorrow, but just wanted to ask here first.
A.Georgia tried imposing sales tax on private used car sales a few years ago and it failed miserably. No, you don't pay sales tax on used cars purchased from individuals.
