Default pics of the new engine

just figured id stop in to show whats new with me project of a '54. and a couple of the things i had questions about, i posted pics of what i did or didnt have to do.
i was told that i needed to use a block off plate for my fuel pump..

i wasnt sure where engine mounts would have to be welded...

i asked about needing to move the battery..
heres where it was

now there are grounds straps connected there

hei distributors are SO much easier to work with if you are starting from scratch..

i wanted to lower the engine a bit more to have more clearance up top, but....

the steering arm kinda got in the way there..
and overall goodness!

Really coming along nicely. It looks like the hood will clear. Keep the pics coming

im still wandering highly about the hood.. if it does clear... though to be honest ive never really looked at a 54 to see what kind of clearance there is.. thanks for the kudos!

now, if i could just figure out how to unwire everything so i could wire it safely....
