Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't the casting date on a 427 on the side of the block near the starter ???

knight, it was built december 65. i never knew what was considered the cut off for "early". if it's not "early" where else could i find the cast date if not on the right rear opposit the cast number?
also, since "early" is mentioned in regard to the indented passenger side valve cover ( i have factory a/c) knowing the "early" cut off date would help me there as well.
Thanks for all of your help.

The air conditioning "dimple" ran from early (November 1965) to mid ( January 1966).
Of course it was not needed and then deleted.
At least that what the Judging Manual states. (Fourth Edition)

Yes, it carried on into 68 with the 427s, but after 67, who cares?
