I have two SWC, one that can be driven and the other in the near future....but I have to say, looking out the back window of that as compared to the back window of my '64 coupe isn't even close. You don't see as much as you would like to think.

When I first got the SWC and drove it I thought, crap I cant see out the back window. I was used to looking back through my '64. So there is my two cents, the 63SWC is crap with the rear view mirror.

The car looks great and that is my only criticsm......vision out the back is poor.

If your stupid enough to think that GM will make a "split window" that close to the back of your head, I have a bridge with your name on it.

The lawyers will have a field day with the lawsuits from the first wreck.

It looks like crap anyways.

Psst, they stopped making "barn door" Suburbans in 2005.

I seriously doubt that GM will make a split window ever again. But if they do, they might as well hang a sign on it that reads, "We are officially out of ideas".

Yes, I have first hand knowledge!

You cant see out the back with that stupid piece of plastic down the middle of the rear window..I thought it was neat and ordered a Black FI coupe. I drive out the front and glance in the mirror to keep the road agents off my back...What does a normal FI Vette owner do? Right, press on the gas...But not in front of Cops if there visible. Out the 63 back window the visibility was poor to say the least...New, they were raced and visibility was important. There were no trailer queens....Drive Inns were where the racers met, not for bench racing and admiring each others car sitting in their Corvette chairs..or slowly riding in parades or the Woodward Cruise...Then Woodward was a red light race track....and used like one.......I liked the concept but the price was getting too much...We cut it out to see better.....and never looked back...

I would like to find it and get it back...#111202

I like things that are different and that not a lot ofpeople have. I guess that is why I have owned 5 of the 1963 SWC but as for this one I hope i am the first to order one.

Let's use history as a guide. All of the lines on the C7x will be toned down for the actual production car. Including the split in the rear window. I would bet they justifed the split window, by having a rear view camera in the nav system.
The V6 is a real possibily and likely to be offered.
One thing I found interesting and to the governments credit, the government bean counters came into GM and found the C7 program floundering on hold. They claim responsibility for putting the new Corvette on the priority list.
Too bad GM doesn't see that all of their cars should display the Corvettes innovation and viceral desire. And combine that with reliability and value.

I would be embarrassed to be seen in that abomination.

That is one butt-ugly car.

I could get used to the rear view, it's like a Solstice/Sky on steroids. But the front needs to look more like a '63. So far the concept looks like a Cadillac.

I think they should revisit the C2 design. If they were able to capture that personna in a modern 21st century Vette. It would be a big winner. Just my biased opinion.
