Watched that video and it reminded me of something I had forgotten about for decades.

used to go to the dirt track roundy rounds back about 1965/66 in Denver and in addition to the circle track race,and demo derby (low speed), they had figure 8 racing.

Now, back then all you saw on the track was mid '50s Chevs and Fords and maybe other mid '50s car.

I saw some pretty nasty T bones at the cross of the figure 8. Saw ambulances also.

Guess they decided the figure 8 race was too much liability as it was gone a few years after that.

I think every other '55-'57 Chev built ended up as either a dirt track car or demo derby car in the 1960's.
