Default 64 Intake Manifold Question

I have a 327 300 hp with a edlebrock streetmaster intake manifold with a 450 cfm carb setup on my car. Apparantly the streetmaster intake was produced in the 70's and was RV/Mileage design. I have seen some posts when I googled streetmaster and got different opinions.
I would like to install a stock "459" cast iron intake and a carter 3720 carb to have the car more original.
I wanted to see if anyone could provide info on the stock manifold versus the streetmaster. I don't think it will make much difference really but wanted some opinons from people that are much smarter than me.
I will likely try things in stages starting with installing the carter carb on the streetmaster then the manifold.

I'm thinking the streetmaster design would out perform the square runners on the original. That was a big flaw of the original designs, the mixture had to make to many 90* turns, instead of a smooth curve to the intake valve.
