You can if the car has air conditioning. The duct hides them somewhat.

But look under the glove box. You'll find them.

the codes are on the bottom of the pumpkink on a machined flat spot. you might need to wire brush it off to read it. when you do just post what you find and someone can decode it

thanks, guys. i ID'd all of the numbers on the car. all original, numbers matching, 1966 coupe with 58,000 miles.

The last number is the one most easily changed, and the one I'd question most without any documentation (58,000).

true, but considering the condition of the car, i would imagine it's accurate. i have talked the guy before my seller and he got the car from a dealer...so who knows?
