U-Joint Question...C3 rear in a C2
Need a little bit of help installing my driveshaft, guys. I have a 74 differential in my 65.
I rebuilt my stock 65 driveshaft a while back with new u-joints, getting ready for the motor drop.
Today, I lowered the motor and trans (the stock 65 M-21) into the car. When I started to bolt the driveshaft to the differential, I discovered that the U-joint is too small for the front yoke of the differential...it is not wide enough to fit snugly between the tabs that center the u-joint. The diameter looks fine.
How has anyone dealt with this problem? Is there a u-joint available that has the dimensions of the 65 driveshaft on one side, and the wider 74 yoke on the other side?
Thanks in advance
Joe

Head to a NAPA store and ask for part number 353. This will get you a hybrid U-joint that is a 1310 on one cross and a 1330 on the other.

Thank you, Jim! Glad to see it isn't a big deal sizing things up.
It's just what I was hoping to hear; you made my day.
