maybe he has a friend with a Jag he needs to show up. two is plenty of light for anyone who is behind you. but like everyone in the 60's and 70's who wanted to be cool and be like a full size Impala and needed 6. they just cut a 2 more holes got 2 more light from a wreaked car or bought new from GM. and spliced into there wiring harness

Strictly a do-it-yourself customizing mod. Pick up two additional inside lights, cut holes, install and splice the wiring.

Dan, your kinda right, but in California it was also a dealer installed accessory, lots of times before the new buyer even picked it up!

I don't remember if it was on this forum or the NCRS forum but someone posted a picture of a S. California dealership in the 60's that had a long row of brand new Corvettes sitting on the lot and they all had 6 tail lights.

I have seen one at Carlisle, a guy said it was an original California car, papers shown to prove, of course, it was a dealer package for the California edition, true !!

If I'm not mistaken, the Harry Mann Chevrolet Co on Crenshaw and Slauson in Los Angeles, that billed itself as the largest Corvette dealer in the West, was famous for punching two extra taillights into the ducktail of 61 to 67 vettes. Looks cool, but I don't know if anyone Needed it.

My '65 had 6 taillights but I had bought it used.
I did not know the originality of the car.
This was in 1967.

Wow, now all we have to do is convince the NCRS that 6 tailers are really original equipment! L88's were installed at the dealer too......?

If I had 6 taillights, I would have to have the sequential turn signals like the T-Birds did. Just doesn't seem worth the effort or the proper effect for 4.

Need is sometimes a degree of want. If the OP says he needs them, I'll go along with it. It seems to me that some foreign countries have some strange light requirements. Maybe he is prepping for export.

I chose not to just cut holes to add third light each side. Wanted them to install like others.

Shawn, when you add two more tail lights, the value of your car will go down accordingly. My two cents.
