Default Holly problems ( Anyone else ? )

Darn: My car is idling like crap. Looks like the back 2 barrels are dripping gas steadily. I tapped for quite awhile on the 2 gas inlets with the plastic handle of a screwdriver, but it did not help. (Only 1 gas line to the carb ).. I am going to install a gas filter on the hose coming out of the tank underneath the car, because I think there is dirt in the carb. I don't think the small filter in the carb is very effective, especially when I can see sediment in the bottom of the gas tank. Looks like the gas tank has been replaced, and the carb is a new replacement 600 cfm Holly that is 3 years old..I have had the car 4 years.
( car has always had problems idling , so maybe I have finally found the problem? )

Cheers, Zale

Maybe he was talking about his girlfriend. Might want to get that sediment out of her tank.

You have a stuck rear float. Remove bowl (no need to remove carb from car), and clean it out with carb cleaner, reset float level and install.

An afterthought. When removing the bowl, keep the transfer tube in the front bowl. Watch the o ring on the rear. When reinstalling it should be on the tube. Bill

Man I hope your wife doesn't snoop on your computer. I would sleep with one eye open for a while. Shemp

Might be a good time to replace those o-rings.
