Default Georgia Tech Show....Great 60 RestoMod PIX

We visited family in Atlanta for the Easter Holiday....dropped by the Georgia Tech Auto Show on Saturday afternoon. A nice show in, I think, in its 7th year. Faculty, students, grads, GTech fans enter their cars...some of which are pretty darn unique. Electric cars, three wheeled cars, Vette racers, Cobras and Shelby Daytona, Pierce Arrow, Rolls, Superbird, Brit cars, Hornet 360, Vipers, Ferraris, more...a great variety of about 100 cars (guessing there). The one that took my eye was this '60 "restorod" (if that is the right term). Beautiful Fawn Beige, modern running gear and a new LS3 crate motor. Sign said it was done by by an outfit called Street Rods Only, Macon, Illinois. Very nice. Oh....went to "The Varsity" for hot dogs afterwards.....superb!

seems that most of the 1958-1960 cars that come out of Street Rods Only are kit cars. The same company also has the molds for the building of reproduction bodies, or kit cars.

No trip to Georgia Tech is compleat without a detour to The Varsity. That place is an institution, been there forever, a "must visit" on anyone's Atlanta itinerary.
