Default OT-Oklahoma City Corvette Club Reunion June 12th

I also posted this in the Southwest section, just hoping to get some of the vintage owners (and vintage members) in the Oklahoma City area for the Oklahoma City Corvette Club's 50th Anniversary party and show.

Ray,
Yep, I was once on the board of directors. BUUUUUUUUUUUUT, I didn't fit the mold and wasn't in the "clique".
I hate to say it, but I don't think you are going to see much response from us early day members (I need to stop right there, there may be someone who slaps me with a slander suit).

Hey Tom,

Neither was I . But though I probably don't see myself rejoining (it seems as though I now have more fun drving my Corvette by myself or with my wife and have no interest in "showing" my "driver"), I still have a few good friends in the club back from the old days and would happily reminisce and knock back a few brooze with them. And some of the old stories that come up are pretty good. I will not however, in an attempt to not alienate the newer members, wear my "Real Corvettes Have Four Speeds And Chrome Bumpers" shirt from way back. Seriously... around 1985 a core group of us with the older cars had the shirts made and really started some discontent. I remember it being pretty fun.

A shirt with 4spds and chrome bumpers---------------don't bother me none! Discontent? Ya, they could give it--------------but they couldn't take it. And also, no names. After about 3yrs of being snobbed (for reasons I WILL NOT discuss, public or private, you never know which walls or flys have ears), I lost interest.

Default Do you guys remember this car from the early Corvette Club?

It's got the logo in the window for the OKC Corvette Club.

I bought it out of a warehouse about 15 years ago. It was born a 66 monosport green.

The guys back then did some creative fiberglass work! I don't have any knowledge because the guy I got it from took it on trade

Ray, I am sure Jed, Elle May and Jethro will be there. Granny is busy making moonshine.

Kerrm-Dogg likes this midyear due to it's extra fender louvers. Seems familiar...

My family and I were heavily involved in NCCC AutoX and drag racing with SJCC from about 1976 until the mid 1980s. I remember a few of the cars from Ok City, but that one doesn't look familiar. I'll dig through my old photos and see if something turns up.
