Default 1967 L88 roadster at auction

I assume everyone is saving up their cash for this one:

http://www.streetlegaltv.com/forum/e...tion-5688.html

If it didn't sell at $1.5+ million in 2007, any guesses, given the current market, if it will sell this time and for how much?

Is it my imagination, or are those power window buttons on the console right behind the 4-speed diagram? That's about the last thing I'd expect to see on this car.

I believe they are . . . . I also don't see any side window crank handles . . .

Couldn't get them with a heater, but I guess you could get power windows. No hand crank for window.

I thought the L88 cars didn't have a fan shroud.

Nolan Adams Vol 2 page 422:
...neither A31 (electric windows) or U69 (radio) was available with L88.

Wow! power window buttons, fan shrouds. You guys have eagle eyes and know your stuff. Makes me feel more and more incompetent to buy a car without making a mistake when that time comes for me.

I'm learning a LOT by hanging around here. Plus I'm doing as much research and reading as I can. But it seems like the more I learn, the less I know

That's Tony Delorenzo's old L-88 race car. Car has a lot of neat race history. He ordered it for racing purposes. His dad was a GM executive, so I'm sure he could get whatever he wanted on it. It's the "real McCoy". Was once owned and restored by Wayne Walker of ZIP Products. Car sold a few years ago for 1.2M I think. How "bout those Goodyear Bluestreaks? NEAT!!!

I don't know about 67s but my 69 was equipped with both radio and heater (not PWs), and it is not "more or less" but IS a real competitive (at that time period) RACE car!!!

Why would you need vacuum advance, unless you are driving around town?

Black and Blue is- (as I recall) The first known production L-88

Most likely an S.O. (shop order) car- Much like a C.O.P.O.
only higher up in the "special order' channels-

Generally internally ordered from styling or engineering- or in this case, upper management.... Blue Chip? ...The best there is.... Great Car with historic race history ....And it's Black and Blue ---

PW doors are lighter than manual window doors. Many C1 Corvette race cars had power windows.
