Default Cable lube?

What type of lube should I use to lube for the speedometer/tach cables?

I don't recall seeing a cable specific lube at the parts stores.

If I remember correctly, Corvette Central carries it in their catalog......in case you cannot find it locally.

I think even JohnZ recommended it, so it must be good.

Kable-ease available through most Corvette parts catalogs and many auto parts stores. Do not lube the top 1/3 of the speedo cable end that screws into the speedo. The lube will travel up the cable on its own. You don't want it getting into the gears inside the guage.
