My concern that the OD would be useless until I was "up" on the cam's sweet spot proved unfounded. I can cruise as low as 1400RPM and the car just tools along perfectly happy and still accelerates smoothly up hills and slight rises. Anything more requires a downshift of course. .
Frankie,

The Duntov cam is VERY mild with a lot of low end torque. I have no problems at 25MPH in 4th gear with mine and 4.11's. If you had more of a performance cam, you'd have more trouble.

Oh, and where do you find hills in Florida? That is the flattest state I've ever seen.

not all that flat where Frank lives (or where John and i live either).... there are enough grades with stop light in inopportune places to be VERY aggravating...

Well - here is the best I can do locally:
"Sugarloaf Mountain is the highest point in peninsular Florida at 312 feet (95 meters) above sea level.[1] It is in Lake County, near the town of Clermont."
No argument....it certainly isn't in a league with most other state's mountains!

The county I live in varies from sea level to 6000+ feet above it. Now THAT'S a hill.
