Great time with Dahogan and Midyear Frank. I judged a big car show with them. Off on my own tomorrow, just driving back roads of Ohio and southern PA , no destination or member to visit till Wednesday , when I will be in Pittsburgh. Leave Pitt on Thursday for Carlisle.
To others , if you live along 40/70 I will be on the road for two days, Let me know if you want to say hello and show me your car.

Nice view Jack. Sort of like looking at the calm before the noise (nope, not going to say the storm, [smile]). Hope our paths cross as my wife & I along with our neighbors '80 "Hello Yellow" Vette should be there Thursday.

Almost made it home
Left Annapolis at 9AM with about 3,000 miles behind me and 500 to get back to Maine. On route 495 82 miles from home, the "correct" fuel pump dies. It did have 30,000 miles on it. I was going to put on my NAPA pump for the trip (never break) and actually took it with me but it was too hot , and after 10 hours on the road, a nice AC truck from AAA , sounded good. Got the car home around 10 PM.
Lot of travel and car pictures once I get my computer fixed. Had to use my iPhone for posting.

You had a great trip Jack! Good to have hooked up with you at Carlisle. Sorry to hear of the car trouble. 3 cheers for AAA! My neighbor with his '80 Hello Yellow Vette was also not so lucky...200 miles from home...think the clutch blew. We're giving 'em (us ) a rest this Labor Day weekend.

Fuel Pump Died on the way home
No ! it's not the end of the Corvette Vagabond ...life on the road...
Fixed in time for a Labor Day Ride! Trip to Carlisle, Columbus, Pittsburgh and Annapolis - home 3,250 miles. Fuel pump died 82 miles from home.
The pivot pin was not spiked , pump was only 3 years old , but a non Logo correct pump. It worked its way out letting the lever move with cylinder instead of pumping the diaphragm

Corvette Vagabond heads to Carlisle 2016
I am happy to head to Corvettes at Carlisle this summer. My car was chosen to be one of 17, in the 50th Reunion Tent this year.
The car is in the shop right now, I hit a pole.....
Should be in top shape for the 1,300 mile trip....
Progress on the repairs soon.

RE: 1966 Reunion Display Approval
Dear Mr. Panzica,
Congratulations! Your 1966 Corvette has been chosen to display in the 50th Reunion Invitational during the 2016 Corvettes at Carlisle. The 50th Reunion tradition began in 2003 when Chip Miller secured and hosted fifty-three 1953 Corvettes. It was an amazing accomplishment and a tradition that has carried on for 13 years! We are pleased to have you as part of this tradition and featured display during the 2016 edition of Corvettes at Carlisle.
Enthusiasts such as you are responsible for the success of Corvettes at Carlisle. We extend sincere thanks to you for your support. These historic displays are wonderful for our audience and we are thrilled to host the 1966 Corvette as one of our main focuses for this year’s event.
You will be receiving a credentials packet towards the end of July with further information. Please note: The Corvettes at Carlisle event now begins on THURSDAY August 25th, 2016. Display participants are asked to display their vehicle beginning Thursday 8/25 through Sunday 8/28. Set up day will be Wednesday 8/24. The packet will include event details, gate entrance stickers, support vehicle stickers and information, further instructions, etc. Please remember that additional events such as the Corvette Downtown Parade, CMAF Benefit Dinner etc. are not included as part of the reunion packet. If you would like to participate in other events, you will need to register separately. Please contact Jodi Morrison at jodim@carlisleevents.com or visit www.carlisleevents.com for additional questions or concerns with registration processes.
We are looking forward to another great year of Corvettes at Carlisle. If you have any questions about the display or are unable to participate, please do not hesitate to contact Joseph Clemente at: 610.275.8519 (h) or 610.212.9607 (m). We look forward to seeing you on August 25-28, 2016!

Congratulations Jack on being part of the 50th Commemorative Event at Carlisle!
I do hope you were not hurt when your '6 hit the pole. Someone once said you can fix anything but a broken heart.
Again, glad to hear you're 1 of 20.
