Default New Redline's for '67 427/435hp Convt???

I'm sure this has been debated over an over, but at the risk of being hammered, can you guys provide insights and recommendations to me re new tires. I recently purchased a '67 BB convt, and my running the original Rally's. I'd like to go with 215/65R15 redlines.
Which such tires do you recommend and/or have found reliable, well handling, balanced and smooth?

I'll be selling a second set wheels (15" Hilabrand Sprints and two sets of very good Goodyear GT+4's; 215/65R15's and 225/70R15's).

Thanks in advance, StuM (old C6 and now renewed C2 member) SnakeSailor1@yahoo.com

Nobody is going to hammer you (I hope!). I think you're going to find that the best tires come from Diamond Tires. They have Michelin, Firestone, and B. F. Goodrich (I think they have Goodrich; I know they have the other two). But the size you mention is not one of their usual sizes, although they'll put a redline on any tire you select. Their 'stock' sizes are 205/75R15 and 215/70R15.

Diamondback is the way to go. 215-70-15 will work for your 67. I have bought two sets of tires, redlines and gold lines from them. Great tires and service. Michelin or BF Goodrich.

Here is a picture of my Rallye wheels with new DiamondBack Michelin X radials 215/70/15. I would not recommend Coker tires, the sidewall is paper thin. I had them and they are scary. Sorry, no pictures with the new tires (12/09) on the car .
