Elvis & Sting Ray Concept car
I am curious about the old Elvis movie that included original Corvette Sting Ray Concept. The Sting Ray was red and I believe driven by Elvis. It would be nice to see that old movie, laugh, and see the Sting Ray moving and not in photos. Does anybody remember the name of that movie? Thanks

It came out around 66 or 67(?) and also starred Shelley Fabares. That was Bill Mitchell's 59 prototype Sting Ray, he'd retired it from racing by then and had converted it for street use.

For a Tilt front and rear.
Or to remove.

The car is prominent in the first five minutes or so of "Clambake". You don't have to sit or fast-forward through the whole movie to see the best part.

I forgot about the clear hood opening. Do you suppose this influenced the Zr1 hood?

And very light. The 283 moves it along just fine.
Or did Bill Mitchell, who drove it to work in Detroit for a couple of years, have a 327 in it by then?

The latches are because it "had" to have a functioning top "available" to race in SCCA events. One of these was raced by Dick Thompson in 1960.
