A Holley 2818 works well for my 65 350 horse car.

I am running a Holley 600 Double pumper with 1/2 inch phenolic spacer with BB air cleaner on my 365hp intake. Fits under stock 63 hood.

I agree with all above, use the Holley 2818, it also will be correct for your car.

You're lucky these guys talked to you. Fill in your personal data and learn how to proof read your posts before you submit. On my 66 400hp small block I used a Holley double pump 750 or 80, and it was perrrrrrrfect.

Look who is talking??? Is not an 80 cfm carb a little small for 400 HP?

I agree the personal information is helpful, but lets be nice about it.

I see that the Holley 2818 sells for about $600 and up.

Isn't it pretty much the same Holley 600 cfm that sells new for about $250?

Don't have a clue just curious.

If you have a stock manifold, I would try the spacer and maybe go with a shorter air filter or drop air cleaner base. I have the Edelbrock RPM Air Gap manifold so no problem with peculation. Also I am running the Holley 770 street avenger.

thanks for all the reply's...
thinking about the holly 2818, but is it that
much better then what i have now (edelbrach-weber 8867)?
most likely will still need the phenolic spacer as well.

i filled some of personal info... gook the familly to a
dodger game today so i was filling out my registration in a hurry.

I am not sure what Edelbrock carb you have because the #8867 is not a Edelbrock # but if it is a Carter designed AFB or AVS clone it is a good carb design but not that great if you like to drive agressively around corners. The # should be something like 1406 if it is a AFB clone or 1901 if it as a Q-jet clone
The Holley 2818 is a very good carb if you want to have that original #s matching Holley carb look. The Holley will need the phenolic spacer less since the fuel bowl are not as directly exposed to the heat from the intake manifold.

I hope this helps Henry @ olescarb

olescarb,
the carb has weber & 8867 casted in & a Edelbroch sticker in the front (sticker looks like it belongs there since the carb is indented for that exact size sticker.
after thinking about it for now ill keep the carb & just find a phenolic spacer until im ready to beef up or replace the eng. sure would like 450+hp someday.

Tell me you didn't know what I meant! 750 or (7)80, I can't recall which. And I am nice, and people like me, they really really like me......
