Default 1940's Sun Machine

I have a line on a 1944 Sun Machine. With this perform well for curving my 66 distributor?

But only with knowledge to use it, will it truly help (Obi-Wan Kenobi).

They want $350 and it is near me. Thought for the money I could play around and learn.

I think you could find a lot newer Allen machine for that money. The older Sun machines require a battery to work.

I can't speak to the relative value of the Sun versus a newer Allen machine, but don't understimate the value of finding a machine near you, that you can personally inspect and bring home, without having to pay for expensive shipping.

I looked a long time for a Sun machine and for several years all the ones I found were "not here". I finally found one about 200 miles away and snapped it up, and made a day trip out of going to get it.

My local hot rod builder has one in his shop. He swears by it.

for 350, that would buy an msd with tach drive and advance kit and instructions....unless you want to go in the re curve business...jmo.....
