The wheels run in competition with the big block engine were from American Racing.

I believe they were American Racing Torq Thrust D wheels, but not absolutely sure.
Can anyone verify this?
Thank you for the help.

And you didn't buy it?

$5500 in 1967 is about $39,000 today. Not a bad investment for a used race car!

No and it has haunted me ever since. Problem was at the time I was 18 years old BUT I knew what the car was and I could not convince my Dad to lend me the $2000 I needed to buy it !!! Unlike every other old race car that I raced against back in the mid 70's and has been restored this car looks exactly the same and has the same paint/wheels everything that I saw back in 1967 and that in itself is a miracle regarding old race cars.
In the mid 90's I told my Dad what the car was worth at that time about 2million . That was the only time in my life that my Dad told me " I guess you were right about that car " At what it is worth now he would be even more impressed with my car investment skills !!!

Default Upload please

Ken,
Could you please upload all your memories and technical data regarding the Grand Sport cars onto the forum?
P.S. don't leave anything out no matter how insignificant.

This isn't Grand Sport, but I thought some of you would like to scroll through these pics:
I spent a number of years working on my Dad's XKE's. I've always thought they were the most beautiful cars ever built. The six aluminum "continuation" cars are magnificent.

So to start of I give you few photos of the legends themselves Mr. John Fitch and Mr. Dick Thompson getting behind the wheel of Tony Stefan's cars, both coupe and the recently finished roadster with full windscreen.

The flying dentist in the Coupe.

Mr. Fitch in the roadster.

It cool to see the old masters still getting excited about these cars.

More about Tony's projects:

Sure looks like nice quality stuff, I saw the finished coupe at Carlisle 08 and the roadster was there too showcasing their new aluminum birdcage.

Hope this topic will serve it's purpose for years to come.
Here's a pic of my new to me 63 GS replica gauge cluster done by Corvette Instrument Service. It will replace the modern white face Auto Meter setup now in my D&D. Fuel pressure and fuel gauge will go in the center dash where the engine oil temp and fuel pressure now reside. Some S/W era correct gauges will handle those tasks. --- Ken

keystonefarm. Great if can you post a picture of the backside of the gauge cluster done by Corvette Instrument Service?
The cluster itself is a original 1963-67 Corvette cluster is it not?

Hey guys, I know this isn't the for sale forum, but I figured I'd throw the link in here since its really only applicable to you guys. Im selling my CCW 3 piece wheels that I ran on my Grand Sport. The specs are in the link with pics!

These are the wheels

Just to add. I placed 3rd overall in the Grand Champion Competition at Holley LS Fest. Representing our GS community

I will also be representing you GS brethren in November at the Goodguys Finals Shootout in Arizona!

Here is the link to the fore sale thread.

https://www.corvetteforum.com/forums...ml?styleid=139

CCW classics, dark silver centers. These wheels come with extra 8.5" inner barrels. With the extra 8.5" inner barrels the rear wheels can be decreased to 11.5" with 7-3/4" back spacing. You can also mix and match inner barrels to get the back spacing and widths you desire. These wheels were used on my 1963 grand sport with 96 C4 corvette suspension.

$2000

Rear 18X12
9" inner barrel
3" outer barrel
8-1/4" Backspacing

Front
8" inner barrel
2" outer
6-3/4" Backspacing

8.5" extra inner barrels

No blemishes

Hello again, long time no see.

Yes, I am still working on the GS however slow it might be currently. I am still unfortunitely still wading through a garbage lawsuit. It has consumed much of my time and money. I have missed all the most recent post about everyones GS.

Ok here is the deal:

People have mentioned that it would be nice to have a "Real" Grand Sport link or site of our own.

I have the site, I have the software (like This) and I have it at a provider. Everything is paid for.

I need help with someone competent putting it together. I just don't have the time or probably the skill set necessary to organized one of these for us.

I REALLY want us to have a site that we can call our own.

As the shackles of my live fall away, I could be more involved with it.

Does anyone here have the skills and desire to get this set up?

Let me know, or everyone give me some ideas with what to do.

I look forward to hearing from everyone, and catching up with all your projects.

Best Regards,

Ty O'Neal
