A rare color combination plus two "post-production options", knock-offs and side pipes! I bet 99.9% of observers would accept it as all-original! Old Corvette fanatics are less than 0.01 percent AIR.

Haven't seen a C2 coupe "kiddie seat" since about '67. If a car was in the sun often, being under the nearly horizontal, often un-tinted back window would have quickly baked and cracked the vinyl to pieces and most people just tossed 'em, I'm sure.

Anyway, the kids had outgrown the limited headroom long before...

Would you like me to email you with the cars I have listed that are closest to your '63?

My Saddle/Saddle Coupe is #15,240. Anyone close?
Do you guys think I'm within range with the estimate of how many are still out there??

Syd
Syd...I also have a '63 Saddle/Saddle coupe that is still very original. Have never seen another one. Nice to know that at least one more still exists. 112815.

Default Swc to be added

I found and bought this SWC about 6 months ago in Mexico, its currently undergoing restoration. The car still has the original 340hp engine, the previous owner did some "restoring" but I will have to re-rebuild it to original specs as it was not properly done. Is now silver/red but will change to black/red (orig. silver blue/dk. Blue?)

Ever since we changed the "45 day rule" on threads, we have started looking at each of the old ones for value and ongoing interest before we decide to lock or continue them.

This one was tough because right after someone resurrected it after 2 years, a bunch of members started posting to it again. It is likely a reflection of the SWC craze.

I'm thinking posting it as a sticky might be the best idea, however the person (gold63, not the OP) who was keeping the ongoing file of '63s, has not posted since 2011 and has not checked in here lately. So, it seems everyone who is saying they should be added to "the list" isnt being heard by the person with the list.

So, if the person keeping this list wants to keep up with the postings and I hear from him, Ill move this to the Sticky section. If not, Ill close it and people can choose to start a new thread and continue to talk about the subject if they like.

An online C2 registry lives here; http://www.c2registry.org/index.php?job=ShowRegistry

Some will find it helpful.

Cheers,

Looks like some guys brought this thread back from 2011 !

ezbidder, I remember seeing your car for sale online and have it recorded. BUT, is it not '63 # 92?
I have #92 listed as a White/Black 300 4spd with PW, Body #53 and noted that it was painted Bronze when I listed it in my '63 file.
So, is your Coupe the 92nd produced for the yr?

Hi Dean,
Yes, I have your Saddle Tan/Saddle #6,099 recorded.
I have it listed as a FI 4spd Coupe with metallic brakes and leather.
Is this correct? What is your Body number?

Thanks
Syd

Thanks dooboy.

I had no information about your '63 #7,011.
So, your car is a 300 hp 4spd Saddle Tan Coupe?
What is the original color of your interior? Any other options like power windows or brakes etc.?
What is your Body number? I'll take a guess and say body #3,819.

Syd

Hello,
It's very bright here today so I'm having a little trouble making out the last digit of your serial number from your pic.
I think I see #4,717
I had #4,717 recorded in my file but have it down as a Black/Red auto Coupe with PS/PB/PW. I didn't have the Body # or know that it was not originally Black.
Is that your car?

I also have #4,718 listed. It was recorded in the old L. Brooks registry as a Silver/Black 250 auto Coupe with PS/PB.

Thanks!
Syd

Hi Roger,
I have #12,815 recorded but listed as a Convertible?

Is your car a Coupe or a Roadster?
In my file, '63 #12,815 is listed as a Saddle/Saddle 340 4spd roadster with White soft top and the notation that it came from Stomps Chev in Dayton OH.
Is this your car?
I must have recorded it a while back because I have not noted the Chev dealer for a car in a long time.
What is your cars Body number? Is it in fact a Coupe?

Syd
